LOCALBEST Free check

For local businesses

Someone near you just asked for the best coffee. It didn't say you.

People don't scroll ten blue links any more. They ask, they get two or three names, and they go. Right now those names are almost never the good little place around the corner.

20 real questions, 3 assistants. You get the answers whether you join or not.

The same question asked of an assistant twice: today the local business is absent from the answer; with LocalBest it is named first, with the reason.
The same question, twiceIllustration, not a real response

Your customers stopped searching. They started asking.

For twenty years getting found meant Google, and small shops lost that fight — not for being worse, but because a chain could simply pay more for every word worth having.

This time is different. The ads sit underneath the answer. The answer itself is not for sale — it is decided by what other people have written about you. And most good small businesses have almost nothing written about them that a machine can read.

We tried it on ourselves first

We asked three assistants the 20 questions a customer of ours would actually ask. 44 of those answers came back clean and usable. We were named in zero of them. We are a tech company, this is literally our job, and we were invisible. It costs you nothing to find out where you stand.

60 tries, 44 clean answers, zero mentions. The other 16 failed or came back empty and we count them as missing, never as a zero. That is our own test on our own trade, not a guess about yours.
A grid of twenty questions across three assistants. Forty-four cells returned a clean answer and the business was named in none of them; sixteen returned nothing and are recorded as missing.

What you're actually joining

Twenty shops on your street, writing about each other.

A page you wrote about yourself counts for almost nothing — every business has one, and no assistant has ever been talked round by it.

What moves the answer is other people saying it. So you and about twenty businesses near you each write one honest recommendation a month for one another. They name you, you name them, and the assistants finally have something real to read.

Alone, one page about yourself and no other source. In a neighborhood, every other member names you and you name them.

What you get

Every other member near you telling the truth about what you're good at, in a place these things get read. Not one voice. Twenty.

What you give

The same, back. One honest recommendation a month, for a business you'd genuinely send a customer to.

Who you would be dealing with

I run the company behind LocalBest · Barcelona

I run an AI engineering firm with eleven data scientists. We build systems for banks, industrial operators and pharmacy chains — the kind of work where being wrong is expensive, so we measure things before we claim them.

We ran this check on ourselves before we tried to sell it to anyone. Asked who to hire, the assistants named us in zero of 44 clean answers. Asked about us by name, they mostly knew we existed and not one described us correctly. That is the same check you get for free, and I will show you our own numbers alongside yours.

Find out what they're saying about you.

Send us your name, your website and your town. You'll get the actual answers from three assistants and a plain read of what they got wrong about you. Free, no strings, and the report is yours to keep even if you never speak to us again.

We use this to run the check and send you the answers. We don't sell it, we don't add you to a mailing list, and if you tell us to delete it we delete it.
